It might sound cliché, but I absolutely love what I do. I have always enjoyed being with children, reading to them, learning with them, and talking with them about what they know to be important. Therefore, it’s with the greatest respect that I write for children.
For me, writing is not easy. But I do enjoy the challenge of finding those few well-chosen words that evoke emotion in my readers. And since I hold my audiences in high regard, I work hard to honor their intelligence.
As with all professions, writing takes an immense amount of time and dedication, but there’s nothing else I’d rather do.
