Tallulah Gorge

November 8, 2009

If you live in or near Georgia, take a day to visit Tallulah Gorge.

Ted and I hiked every possible trail this past Thursday. Here we are at the bottom of the gorge. BEWARE! You need to walk down many, many steps to get to this point, which means . . . you need to hike up, up, up to get to the rim. It was worth it - every huff and puff.

Hi Lola and Ted.

I finally looked you up on-line. I have two little grandsons, Jimmy and Christopher, ages 3 1/2, and almost 2. They are the apples of my eye, even thought they live in Indianapolis and I live in Sarasota, Florida. I try to visit them four times a year.
Their dad and mom are helping them learn to read beyond any capacity I would have ever been able to imagine. And..... their imaginations are beyond compare.
What books would you recommend for them? And, where would I find them?

Incidentally, you both look great. I have such fond memories of visiting your home and workshop, and benefiting from your skills, Ted. That was a marvelous time in my life.

Life here is okay. The weather (normally) is wonderful, the landscape and Gulf are beautiful, and real estate has treated me well. My heart still misses Auburn, and the mid-western mentality. Eventually I hope to live here in the cold months, and have a little place in Indianapolis.
